mddm Architects is an international award-winning, innovation-driven architecture and design practice based in Beirut, operating across the Middle East and internationally. The studio delivers integrated services in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, interior design, and industrial design, with a portfolio spanning residential, commercial, corporate, hospitality, leisure, healthcare, education, industrial, and large-scale urban developments.
With more than 30 years of combined design experience, mddm Architects is built on a deep foundation of architectural knowledge, continuously evolving through a forward-looking and innovation-led approach. The practice positions design innovation as a core driver of every project, from conceptual exploration to technical realization.

Imad Aoun
Imad Aoun is the Co-Founder and Partner of mddm Architects, a Beirut-based architectural practice with regional reach. His professional experience began in 1996, when he founded the Associated Architects for Engineering Consultancy (aaec). Since then, Imad has designed, developed and delivered on projects covering Architecture, Interior Design, landscaping, Urban planning and Industrial Design.
During his career, Imad has managed and coordinated teams of over 100 professionals, ensuring the timely delivery of projects. He leads as the Principal Architect, handling concept creation, and translating the client’s vision into architectural design.
His portfolio of projects includes commercial and residential buildings, health and education facilities, hospitality and leisure venues, and industrial sites.
Imad has been a Member of the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects since 1996.
Awards-winning Projects
Imad has received numerous awards for his architectural works. They include: the Mitri Nammar award for the Bur-Hotel project, and the first prize for the Knowledge & Innovation Center competition in Tripoli. He also received the first prize award for the Casino Du Liban Masterplan competition.
His works have also been published in renowned architectural magazines (print and online) such as Architectural Digest, ArchDaily, Wired and De Zeen to name a few. He has also been invited as a guest speaker at numerous architecture and design conferences
Education
Imad obtained his D.E.S.A. in Architecture from ALBA in 1996 and MBA IP in Management, from Saint Joseph University – Sorbonne / Dauphine in 2005.

Nadim Younes
Nadim Younes was a Co-Founder and Partner of mddm Architects.
He had been a part of the New York Architects – Town Planners since 2000.
Nadim Younes’ project portfolio includes:
Architecture: commercial and industrial buildings, residential and office buildings, hospitals, schools, private residences, urban planning and design.
Interior architecture: commercial retail spaces, residences and office spaces.
He was a Member of the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects in Tripoli since 1995.
Award-winning projects
Nadim’s architectural works have received numerous awards. They include: the first prize for the Knowledge & Innovation Center competition in Tripoli, first prize for the Order of Engineer and Architects of Tripoli and the first prize award for the Casino Du Liban Masterplan competition. He also received the first prize for the St. Hardini Cathedral in Kfifane Competition and the second prize for the Beirut Harbour Passengers Terminal Competition.
Education
Nadim obtained his D.E.S.A. in Architecture from ALBA in 1995 and his D.E.S.S. in Urban Planning from ALBA University – I.F.U. in 1997.
