Within the retail context ABC shopping mall in Beirut, La Mie Dorée, one of the leading names in its industry, translates its brand identity into a fully realized interior architecture rather than a conventional storefront fit-out. The scheme is anchored by a neoclassical decorative vocabulary, hand painted panels in a muted pale blue wrap the space's structural columns, their surfaces articulated with urns, garlands, and laurel medallions rendered in a restrained, almost heraldic palette. This ornamentation is not applied as pastiche but integrated directly into the architecture, becoming load bearing elements in the room's visual hierarchy rather than decorative afterthought.
Set against this classical register, backlit fretwork glass screens introduce a more contemporary material language, their fluted geometry diffusing light across the dining floor and establishing a rhythm of illumination that shifts throughout the day. Scalloped mirror panels, inserted along the perimeter walls, extend the spatial reading of the interior beyond its physical footprint, doubling the density of the planting while softening the hard edges of the millwork.
The furniture plan is composed with a similarly considered restraint. Dining tables in dark, matte finished metal are paired with upholstered seating in a tonal palette of moss green and dove grey, arranged across warm oak flooring in a configuration that reads as conversational rather than regimented, avoiding the rigid grid typical of high turnover food and beverage environments. Dense clusters of potted palm and tropical foliage are distributed throughout the plan, functioning less as decoration and more as spatial dividers, softening sightlines between seating clusters without resorting to fixed partitions.
At the threshold, a fully glazed storefront dissolves the boundary between mall corridor and dining room, framed beneath the brand's signature pale blue fascia and cursive red logotype. Just inside the entrance, a patisserie counter is positioned as the interior's opening gesture, staging the craft of the product itself as the first architectural encounter, before the seating plan unfolds behind it
